  • Long day with wet feet, but found some pretty colors. #tuesday #foodie #farm #goodday
  • New pasture for the crew. This is full of radish and mustards and some other crops. They have access to everything behind them for the rest of the season, but we move them incrementally and let them basically work each section before a new one. This will be winter squash in 2027. #organic #organicpork #bacon #baconseeds
  • Getting some reds before the rain. We switched over to the V plow after this run and have very minimal skin damage now. Just took 3 rows before I used my brain…. #spudlife #red #potato #organicpotatoes
  • Getting radish, beets and carrots cleaned up before the rain tomorrow. Wish us luck! #awesome #day
  • Started in the field, ended in the greenhouse. Some of the best cucumber plants we have ever grown.

I thought today was gonna be relaxed, moving irrigation around and turned into a monster of a day in the sun.
Jules made some big batches of sunshine jam, which is a blueberry and lemon combination that is absolutely delicious.

  • What was a zucchini harvest turned into a 3 hour makeover on all the plants. We hadn’t been trimming leaves as we harvest like we should, so it all got wrapped into one big job. All eggs, nymphs and adult squash bugs were executed, all the lower leaves with no fruit are now under the ground. It’s funny because you think your in charge of the plants, but if you look and think, they tell you what to do. All the garlic ground is now beets and carrots! Oh, and Jules killed it at the market! Great day! Were getting out of the sun for awhile now.
Cheap produce isn’t fresh and Fresh produce isn’t cheap! 🙏
