What was a zucchini harvest turned into a 3 hour makeover on all the plants. We hadn’t been trimming leaves as we harvest like we should, so it all got wrapped into one big job. All eggs, nymphs and adult squash bugs were executed, all the lower leaves with no fruit are now under the ground. It’s funny because you think your in charge of the plants, but if you look and think, they tell you what to do. All the garlic ground is now beets and carrots! Oh, and Jules killed it at the market! Great day! Were getting out of the sun for awhile now. Cheap produce isn’t fresh and Fresh produce isn’t cheap! 🙏 #saturday #greatday #hot #beautiful

@yayyosa and Jules crushed these shallots while I did Chicago deliveries. Lucy had her supervisor hat on to keep the pace up. Teamwork makes the dream work. Probably the best shallots we have ever grown. Available now fresh or you can wait for them to cure. #thursday #shallots #chicago #farm

Was walking this hose to a sprinkler, that I would have to move every 20 minutes and just said to myself, I’m just going to water the rows and give them a big drink. Also, got to weed all the plants as I went. Felt great and I’m sure the plants agreed. #hot #dry #water #letthemgrow
